According to an article in the Triad Business Journal a Wilmington-based commercial property developer is planning a 288-unit apartment community in Burlington. From the story:

In March 2018, Zimmer Development submitted plans with the city of Burlington to build a 288-unit apartment complex, then called Alamance West Apartments, between Bonnar Bridge and Buck Hill roads. One Ninety Eight Milltown appears to be that same development under a new name. The site is in the southwest quadrant of the Interstates 40/85 interchange at University Drive.

Zimmer Development also owns the Shoppes at Waterford, in addition to dozens of retail centers throughout the Southeast...

Zimmer Development’s multifamily portfolio includes more than 4,600 units either completed or under development within 21 properties in eight states...

In North Carolina, its nine communities are in Asheville, Cullowhee, Garner, Southern Pines and Wilmington. An additional community is planned for Raleigh.
