🧠☕ DEI Coffee Talk: Unconscious Bias Across Generations

What if the biggest thing standing between us isn’t what we say—but what we don’t even realize we’re thinking?

Join us for a lively, eye-opening conversation as we explore how unconscious bias shows up across generations—from Baby Boomers to Gen Z—and how different life experiences shape the way we communicate, lead, hire, and collaborate. Expect real conversations, relatable moments, a few laughs, and plenty of “I never thought about it that way!” revelations.

Grab your coffee, bring your curiosity, and let’s bridge generations one conversation at a time. Because understanding each other is always a good blend.

FREE TO ATTEND!

Jody Longwill is the Vice President of Operations for Burkely Communities, LLC. With 40 years of experience in the multifamily housing industry, she has had a front-row seat to how our workplace has evolved across generations. A past president of both the Piedmont Triad Apartment Association and the Apartment Association of North Carolina, she believes there’s something to learn from every generation.  She learns from younger generations every day, especially after they stop laughing at her technology questions. She’s looking forward to bringing a little experience, a little humor, and hopefully some perspective to the conversation about generational bias.

A late Gen X mom of Gen Z and Gen Alpha, Amy has spent the last 25 years leading and working with individuals across the generations and learned to appreciate the talents each bring to the table.
