In many large cities rents fell, while in mid-size cities like Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point, rents increased. Here are the numbers for North Carolina's larger cities:

  • Fayetteville +10%
  • Greensboro +7.7%
  • Concord +6.3%
  • Mooresville +6.3%
  • Asheville +4.3%
  • High Point +3.7%
  • Winston-Salem +3.4%
  • Wilmington +3%
  • Raleigh -0.2%
  • Durham -1.6%
  • Charlotte -2.2%

The report also points out that most of the rent declines were found in principal cities and not the suburbs. Read the full report here.
