Winston-Salem Hosting Rental Assistance Application Fair on June 12

The city of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County are hosting a Rental Assistance Application Fair for renters who have been unable to pay rent due to the impact of COVID-19. Details can be found on the city's website and we've shared some highlights below.

Rental Assistance Application Fair

9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, June 12

Benton Convention Center

Staff will be available to help you apply for ERAP on the spot!
Free parking in the Cherry Street parking deck across from the convention center.

Schedule:

  • Last names starting with A through H: 9 – 10 a.m.
  • Last names starting with I through P: 10 – 11 a.m.
  • Last names starting with Q through Z: 11 a.m. – Noon
  • Overflow: Noon – 1 p.m. 

Bring:

  • Identification for applicant and co-applicant (if any):
    Photo ID is preferred, such as a driver’s license, state ID card, military ID card, or passport. Other forms of ID can also be used, including birth certificates, Medicaid or Medicare card, a signed Social Security card or an ID card issued by employer or religious organization/place of worship.
  • Proof of income:
    Can be pay stubs for the last 30 days, 2020 W-2 form, award letters for SSI,SSDI or child support.
  • Your lease agreement.
  • An eviction notice, or statement or bill from your landlord or utility company showing what you owe.
  • A letter of termination, or self-written statement of financial hardship.
