Professional Bio
Renee Kennedy Phillips was born and raised in North Carolina. She grew up in the
Triad and attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she earned
her Bachelor of Science in Consumer Apparel and Retail Studies. Renee has always
had a passion for design and marketing.
Like many in multifamily, Renee stumbled into the industry as a leasing consultant,
where she worked part-time while attending college. She fell in love with the role and
enjoyed working on-site with a team, meeting new people, and learning the ins and outs
of managing a property. Renee built a career in property management, holding both
leasing and property manager roles. She oversaw successful onsite teams and fostered
a culture of growth and development.
She currently works as an Enterprise Account Executive at Zumper, where she
oversees multiple accounts as a trusted consultant in multifamily marketing. With a
passion for building meaningful relationships, Renee helps her clients drive results
through strategic solutions tailored to the apartment industry.
Beyond her professional work, Renee enjoys visiting the beach, collecting seashells,
and spending quality time with her husband, three children, and two doodles. She is
involved in her community, volunteering with various nonprofit organizations and
actively participating in local apartment associations. Renee currently serves on multiple
local apartment association committees and the NC State Suppliers Council. She has
held past leadership roles such as Chair of the PTAA Programs Committee and
President of the PTAA PSC in 2024. Renee has also won Rookie Supplier of the Year
and Advertising Supplier of the Year through the PTAA.
Renee is dedicated to advancing the multifamily industry by fostering relationships,
promoting advocacy, and driving innovative strategies that enhance community
success.
