Mock Lobby Day

During this interactive exercise, participants will learn and experience a lobby day from start to finish. Participants will start with a pre-lobby briefing that includes one-pagers, talking points, and etiquette. They will then have several meetings around ”the capitol” where they will meet with “legislators” to take what they’ve learned into action.

 This training will include:

• Preparing for the lobby day ahead of time
• Adapting to day-of changes
• Making a clear “ask”
• Following up

 This course is good for people new to the legislative process and seasoned.
