The New Look in Ardmore (Winston-Salem)

The old Cloverdale Apartments in Winston-Salem have been demolished and site work is underway for construction of The Legacy, the new apartment community planned to be built on the site. The Triad Business Journal has a story, including renderings, about the planned development:

"The Legacy" wil have seven buildings and a total of 220 apartments, according to developer Ardmore Cloverdale LLC, which is made up of family members of Burke Wilson, Reuben Wilson and Jack Covington. (Wilson-Covington Construction Co. developed Cloverdale in the 1940s.)

Lomax Construction of Colfax is the general contractor. As Triad Business Journal reported three months ago, demolition and site work on the property began in February. The expected completion date is spring 2022. Carlisle Residential Properties, based in Greensboro, will manage the community...

The new development will include a clubhouse, resort-style saltwater swimming pool, outdoor grills with poolside cabanas, and a fitness center with a yoga studio. The community will have extras such as private parking garages and elevators.

The one-, two- and three-bedroom units will range from 880 to 1,564 square feet and include granite countertops, vinyl plank flooring, stainless steel appliances and open floor plans. Two "penthouse" floor plans will measure 1,763 SF. Ardmore Cloverdale did not provide the expected price range of the units, but the new development should be significantly more expensive.
